"Night Witches" tells the story of the Soviet Union's **588th Night Bomber Regiment**—an all-female unit feared by the Nazis as *"Nachthexen"* (Night Witches). Their plans, made of canvas and wood, flew silently by idling engines, gliding to drop bombs under cover of darkness. The enemy likened their sound to "witch broomsticks" 🧹.
